To Play or Not to Play?
Alright, I've played FFXIV's beta and it kinda stung, but I hear they're making some improvements on the game so I'm wonderin'...
How much have they improved since the beta and who's nice enough to slip a FFXI veteran a linkshell, if they happen to be inclined to decide with joining FFXIV?
I really don't feel I'm as much of a hardcore gamer and grinder as I used to be, and, if FFXIV is indeed making improvements, I'll be sure to give it another chance with how bored I am lately.
Also, do they have a sitting motion?

there is a /sit, yes.
There have been massive improvements. For you, since you played in Beta, the UI will probably stick out the most. Game still has a ways to go, but it's a lot better than it was at release.
-
-The UI lag has improved about 90% from launch
-they added a good 50+ side quest
-there are nms added throughout the game
-They added faction bosses (nms leves)
-They added more leve types
-They improved the wards 20fold from beta (search, named wards)
-They changed the SP system (depends on who you talk to if it really was an improvement)
-They improved the synthesis process (recipe thing you can select things from)
-They also added a ton of cosmetic changes as well as bug fixes
-SP up to 24 is easier to obtain
-SP is far better in groups then solo now (nerfed coblyn soloing, and boosted party sp)
If you need a linkshell and you are on Cornelia send me a tell, if not make sure you find an active linkshell. Because without one the game is honestly not much fun at all. Game still sucks bad solo, but I would say it is about up to ffxi's level in groups.

Ah, so it's similar to FFXI before they made soloing plausible, I guess I can work with that. Especially if they're improving it.
As for a server, I lack one currently. I'll slip into Cornelia after I purchase the game.
Thanks for the input.

you can still solo, its not as impossible as FFXI, its just at higher levels when your tnl is high, your really gonna miss getting a lot of exp fast.

It's totally up to you. I would probably wait until they make the major battle/class changes. That kind of makes or breaks a game for most people
