Hello,
I received the quest to attune to the atheryte for Garuda HM, when I click on it I get a few things...."you can use duty finder for Garuda HM", says Quest Complete. When I open the Duty finder it does not show and the quest is still in my log.

Sorry if you already knew this, but it comes up as "The Howling Eye (Hard)" and it's right at the bottom in the trials section (Garuda isn't actually in the title).
Yah I am aware of that, thats how it appeared for Ifrit. I cant use the Duty Finder to Q for Garuda as it doesnt populate on my Duty Finder list.

Sorry, but I think you'll need to contact SE through their support channels (they don't answer support on the forums). It sounds like you have an account issue and unfortunately no one can help except them :(
I don't know if it'll work, but when in game try using the contact/report menu (Press Escape and it's there somewhere), because if I remember correctly GMs can reset quests (or at least I think they could in FFXI so might be the same here). It'd probably be faster than trying email/phone support anyway. Well probably. Maybe :S
@papertankz were you ever able to solve this issue? if so how? same thing has been happening to me.
I'm getting the same thing. SE should really address this issue as this is a game breaking issue considering you cannot progress with out completing tis quest. Please do something about this SE
