Does anyone else run into the issue where when you set your targeting filter to enemies only you still end up targeting a random player's summons? i run into this issue a lot when doing fates or in areas that are generally crowded.

Just a tip on targeting with the controller... Filters not even needed for this. Hold R2/L2 to ready your crossbar abilities, and then tap R1/L1 to toggle through enemies. This saved me Soooooo much grief, as it will never ever target pikachu! In hectic situation, it will ocasionally target a wrong mob, because your toon will be facing an odd direction. However, it is way way better than relying on the X button alone to try to target whats in front of you, and makes target switching in dungeons a breeze.
Hope this improves your experience as much as it did mine. ^^
Saw somewhere else a dev responded to this. They are aware it is not working as intended and plan to hot fix it.
Thanks so much for this... I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to switch mobs after targeting and attacking. I ended up using the mouse. This should hopefully help!
You're most welcome, Frost Trunks. It works great as an archer!
There are several nifty controller commands for non-combat things as well.
You can resize some UI elements (character sheet, armory chest, etc) by opening them then pressing R3. Using the HUD options that allow you to move things like your crossbar, hp/mp/tp, exp and quest tracker etc results in resizing those items by pressing R3 as well.
You can hide/show the UI with L1+Select.
Dismount your chocobo by using L3 while riding.
I'm sure there are others as well. The controller seems to need an instruction book of its own. ^^
