Can't move the cursor on the main menu?? PS3 Version.

Hopefully someone can help :D
So I just logged in a few hours ago. Logged off for a bit, to have something to eat. And when I come back, I get to the Start menu and I can't select anything! I'm pressing every button and nothings happening! It'll start the opening movie and I can't even skip that! I know its not the controller because I can press the PS button to go back to PS Home, that and I tried turning the controller on and off...not working.
Can anyone please help?

Have you restarted the PS3?
