An Embarrassing Moment
WARNING: mild spoilers about dungeon content included
So I had a face-palm moment last night. I had just reached the Stone Vigil dungeon (lv.42) for the first time and there were two people, a PLD and a MNK, waiting at the entrance. They invited me, a WHM, to the party, and after recruiting a DRG we headed in. The tank gave me a friendly FYI up front, "I'm sorry Johannes, these dragons hit like trucks." So I prepared the best I could and we engaged the first mobs, with a full wipe to start things off. Not a great start, but we eventually got the place wired, and made it to the first boss. First try: full wipe at 90%. Second try: we got the hang of dodging the eye-blasts and fire breath, but wiped at about 40%. So we began reviewing our strategy before the third attempt:

...cont'd
PLD: "Get out of the line of sight when he starts wandering."
MNK: "Don't forget to esuna the burn after flame breath."
DRG: "I'll limit break early in the fight for extra damage."
Johannes Kepler uses Healing Wind.
PLD MNK + DRG: "Wtf............"
I accidentally hit the limit break hotkey which I decided to place right next to "Protect," and my face turned bright red. Fortunately we beat him that time and continued through the dungeon, but it was definitely a little embarrassing. I had a good laugh remembering this today and thought I'd share with you guys. If you have a funny or embarrassing story, I would love to hear it!

A FC member asked for ppl totag along his Manor dungeon. I offered my help as I think I could show off some skills. I end up dying 3 times , once during last boss fight and it was my guildie archer who saved the day. Embarassing indeed!

Being a Warrior I use Tomahawk at the start of every fight. So we're doing Stone Vigil and we haven't had a wipe and it's been one of the better runs.
We get to the last boss. Wait for all the cutscenes. Give the people in my party that haven't done it the low down on him. Make sure everyone's ready. The works.
Run in fire a quick Tomahawk... Ohh wait I pressed sprint instead -_- rock up on this boss with no TP and relaying on about 4 Flashes before I run out of MP.
Luckily the dragon goes in the air a lot and gave me time to get some TP back and build hate!
We cleared him first time but it definitely wasn't my finest moment.

Haha, something of the sort happened to me when I was in Cutter's Cry for the first time. My group and I weren't sure how to avoid the pull in from the 2nd (I think it was second, was the sandworm) boss. So, they wanted me to use my LB to protect us from some damage when it happened. Thing is when I went to set it on my hotbar, I accidentally pressed X and used it instead of hitting Square. I facepalmed so hard. We got through without it anyways, figs we had to run and hug the wall to keep away from him.
