Duty Finder stuck on "reserving instance"

1) Equip Arcanist
2) Queue for a dungeon in the duty finder as DPS role (have tried Satasha, Ifrit)


Whenever I queue as DPS role, the duty finder gets stuck on "Reserving instance". The longest I let this sit was over 30 minutes before quitting. Also the queue window only displays me as "found" (i.e., 0/1 tank 0/1 healer 1/2 DPS) and I know that cannot possibly be the case. There is no average wait time listed either. Currently I am in a queue for Ifrit and it has been 10 minutes with no change.

This is normal as DPS roles tend to be more popular than tank and healer, thus there are more of them queued up before you. The numbers under the roles won't change while it's looking. I initially thought it wasn't working correctly as well since surely the dps count would go straight to 2, but it seems these numbers are more to show what you have and what you need, not the current progress of the finder.

In general, it has taken 30-45 minutes for the duty finder to put me in a pt as ACN/SMN on story dungeons, similar to what you have seen.

That's not a bug - just simple fact of life for DPS. If you want to spead up the matching select all languages on top of the DF.
