PS3 Chat log right over cross bar, can resize, but cannot move. HELP i cant see!

Exactly what the title says... I play with several personal friends and one of them has a stupid issue where his chat log is right over the middle of his cross bar.

You can't move it.

We tried logging in and out, hud defaults, chat log defaults... no fix... still there.. Quite annoying for him.

Posting for him because he said he would just ignore it -_-

You can move it, click and drag on the "general" tab. :)
