I don't know what Square was thinking, but apparently you need Sand Bats. Which by the way, can only be found in Cutters Cry. However, you need 3 of them, but Square only put two in the entire dungeon. It isn't funny. No other dungeon has this issue for the Hunting Log.
Could you please add one more sand bat to the beginning for people? So, that we don't have to run the damn thing twice just to get one freaking bat.

I had no issue with these logs. I got the princess, bats and cactuars in 1 run.
That's odd, there were only 2 bats when I ran it. Random number generator? I got all the others just fine.
You have to hunt around the edges in the first two rooms. You missed some of the bats on your run.
I completed everything in one Cutters Cry run as well.
That is correct there is in fact more then 2 bats there, I actually think there is 4.
I don't know what the qualm is with having to run a dungeon more than once. That's the purpose of the game, to explore the content.
I just finished Cutter's Cry and also only had two sand bats. Before everyone goes off telling me saying there's more, my other three people in my party were nice enough to split up and everyone checked all the corners/areas to make sure I wasn't crazy. There were in fact, only two bats and all rooms were checked.
For people who're just trying work through the hunting log (Hi!), doing a dungeon and then having to do it all over again is miserable. I lovethe idea how they implemented hunting logs in the dungeon but if we can fix this inconsistency with the bats and either put a base limit of three (If it's randomly generated, no clue what's going on) or just kick the hunting log down to two for it, that would be super. Would also greatly decrease the amount of people leaving for that one mob. (Happened to me on my first party)
There's a limit of characters on here... So my rant got shortened. Love the game, just think this getting looked at would be beneficial.
You can just enter the dungeon Cutter's Cry, and kill the bats in the first room. Then leave the duty and repeat until the hunting log is completed. There is no need to finish the entire dungeon for just the hunting log unless you want to. :D
