Lock Target Disable for Gamepad

There needs to be a way to disable target lock for gamepads. This can be extremely detrimental to a run if you apply too much pressure to your analogs and then can't avoid taking certain ground damage. We have tried setting different keys to disable this through the Settings menu and this does not work. I set target lock as "Delete" on my keyboard. This did not fix the lock target function.

If anyone else had experience with this or know of a solution other than SE implementing one please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. And, no, using a keyboard and mouse is not an option.

The best way for remove the target lock would be if SE add a function like (none, unassigned, whatever) on the pick up list. It doesn't take to much time right SE? Is very annoying and useless the Target Lock function on my opinion.

I don't even know what the purpose of locking a target is. I have never, ever found it useful, even once.

I don't mind the lock target cuz I use it but I see no need for 2 buttons to have the same function and also /sit on controller isn't really needed so I'm all for an "Unassigned" feature.

Don't have the link right now but I did see a dev post that they are adding more options to gamepad button assignments including the option to remove the lock on feature.
