Time and Convenience.

Time and Convenience, Do not make an Auction House. But I keep seeing people demand an auction house to fix Time and Convenience.


One of the biggest draws of the Market Ward system is that its your Store. People can be enticed into impulse buy other items from you when you sell things in sets for example. Or they might find something else they need that you sell.

So instead of trying to implement the Auction House, which the primary features of the Auction House I have yet to see anyone ask for, Just implement the Time and Convenience changes. But do it in such a way that Impulse buying is not harmed.
1. Sync all Wards. Don't segregate by city anymore. Make it more like the Chocobo Racing Rooms from XI.

2. Implement a Keyword Feature:
Include a search box that with one or two key words instantly brings up the list of items that match. "Body" would bring up all body Armors.

3. Once you drill into the item you want and it shows the people selling that item. You can even open up the Retainer and see all the items they are selling. Identify the one you wish to buy and then you have three options

• Turn on ward search and go find the person in the wards.
• Ask the Retainer to Deliver it to your Mailbox or your own Retainer. if the retainer is in the same city 15 minute wait, if the retainer is in another city 1 hour wait.
• Ask the Retainer to Deliver it directly to you. (Tax Fee) If the retainer is not in the same City you can't use this feature.

3. Implement a mailbox where the retainers deliver items and players can send items to themselves and other players. Please allow for players to be able to send damaged items between their own characters on the same world.

4. Allow for Retainers not currently in the wards to be searched through the new Search and Deliver feature but at lower priority to retainers who are in wards.

5. Allow users give retainers their items to sell directly from the Search Interface.

6. Allow users to call their Retainers at any Aetheryte node and act as a Search Interface.

This sounds pretty good to me. I like the multiple choice when buying a item (gil sink or time sink). More bells around would be nice too.

number 5 from above. Do you mean to say that give players the choice to toggle whether or not they can sell their items through the search feature or to sell items by visiting them only??

Lets say your at the outside entrance to the wards and bring up the Ward Navigation Interface. From there you can give your retainers an item directly to sell as long as they have room to. So you don't have to enter the wards and find them.

Ahhhh OK. I see what you mean. That would be nice feature too! Good thinking =D
And would there be a fee attached to this service as well?

I could go with either a AH style or MW style...edge more towards MW because its new way of doing things.
