Summary of Duty Finder Issues.

Here is a summary of the most common problems to do with Duty Finder from forums and in game.

1. Abuse of those people watching cut scenes in story missions.

2. No way to deal with abusive players other than leaving (or "Rage Quitting).

Secondary Issues: Players Rage Quitting after the first wipe with (IMO) insufficient consequence. Example: "Anyone done this dungeon before?" "No" Rage Quit. Wasting all other members of the duty's time.

Being unable to communicate privately is an additional issue which adds to the problem: It encourages people to "Rage Quit" as it is the solution with least effort.


3: Allowing players of insufficient gear/skill to enter (Harder) Dungeons within random groups.

Therefore increasing chances of failure. (In full pre-made groups this need not be an issue).

These 3 issues are the most serious relating to Duty Finder that I think need to be tackled both by the community and also by ongoing development of the game.

Why is it that someone can pull a boss, with the express purpose of griefing, and wiping the group over and over, and if I quit that group I get punished with a 15 minute lockout?

Happens quite a bit in Ifrit Hard, especially when tanks want to force someone to quit just to avoid their own 15 minute lockout.

You also end up with groups who aren't viable due to gear, team build or skill just sat their doing nothing because nobody wants to trigger the 15 minute lockout. It's an utterly stupid system that seems to be doing more harm than good.
