Skill Speed x Parry

Guys,

most of the tank gear usually offers a combination of vit, str (which I believe are both good*) and usually either skill speed or parry (rarely both at the same time). So I see myself over and over having to chose between the two of them.

So, for a Paladin, what would be more beneficial? Skill Speed or Parry?
And what about Warriors?

* is it ok to assume vit is more important to PLD and str to WAR? Or neh?

VIT is more important for PLD than it is for WAR due to WAR having higher HP by default, but it is still important for WAR. The jury is still out on if Skill Speed is worth it or not right now, if it reduces the GCD enough then yes, I think it will be much better than parry, but at this time I'm unsure.

When you have a scaling percentage health buff, vitality INCREASES in value.

Only if you look at max hp. The 20% damage reduction acts as a 25% value multiplier on any given quantity of additional hit points. As a question of effective hit points, the contributions of a given amount of vitality are going to be identical for the two (25% max hp = 20% DR, for eHP).

It's important for both, I was just saying it's probably MORE important for a PLD to get as much VIT as they can compared to a WAR.

Might be worth keeping mitigation gear to mix and match your gear as required by the encounter. Mitigation may be more useful than a larger health pool for some fights.
