Beastmen Strongholds
Hi everyone!
Hope everyone is enjoying the game as much as I am. So I went to check out Natalan last night and it was very nostalgic but I have to admit... it seemed more like a barren fortress than a lively home base for the Ixali. The FATEs mere moderately challenging but for the most part it was very bland. The lack of mobs had people chocoboing through everything.
How do you all feel about this? I mean I'm storming an enemy base... I personally feel like this should not be such a breeze. Maybe I missed some information and they are not completed yet... or at least I hope!

I agree, I went through some other stronghold and noticed the aggro range was so short I was able to make it all the way to the end for a quest without fighting anything. Needs to be much more enemy dense.

Yeah I agree, I had a wander around Natalan and it just did not seem all that threatening even though I was on my own. I think they need to give them more purpose as there isn't really much at the minute for something regarded as an enemy stronghold.

Whats the point of the strongholds in ARR? I was able to run through all of them solo to complete my maps and didnt really see anything special in them. There were no bosses like in 1.0, but im assuming these pop in fates? Also there were no locked gates like in 1.0 requiring you to kill mobs to procede. Are there certain items that only drop in the strongholds?

You do have to go into the strongholds for the relic quests, but I agree, the enemies inside are a bit scarce.

Its just funny to think youre in an enemy stronghold and the guy attacking you runs away when you move too far... I mean you are enclosed in a walled fortress... haha

I understand them using the basic limit of them chasing you... But there needs to be groups that you MUST fight to get through the strongholds. As it is right now, you simply skirt around the outside edges to avoid all of the mobs.

I pretty much made a thread that was identical to this one once. It sucks but I think that's just the way they want it to be.
