Odd question maybe.
Im playing on PC - BUT got ps3 also. Can i login there and keep playing my normal account ?
I guess that would require some free FFXIV : ARR download on the ps3, and then login with my account details?
Or will i have to spend more money and buy the ps3 game?
Will it even allow me to log in with my (pc account) on my playstation 3 ?

Yeah you can use the same account/char on the ps3 also, but you need to buy the ps3 version too and register the code provided to the same square enix service account (this is very important or you'll have two separate accounts)
As said above - for each new platfor you need to purchase the copy of the game / enter the registration code and attach it to the same service account. As a "bonus" though you'll receive additional 30 free days of subscription so it will make the purchase a bit less costly.
