Quest Emote - Quick Turn-in

Howdy,

I noticed this the other day in starting quests that require an emote (/dance, /soothe, etc), can be completed without actually completing the emote (saves a fraction of the total time but may be exploitable further).

If you "run" towards the NPC you have to do the emote on, and type the emote, it will do the emote without actually doing it, saving time (for example, dancing). The animation isn't done and you still get credit for the quest.

I have a problem with a West Thanalan levequest "You cannot kill the metal", which requires the players to emote /sooth the coblyns... I have tried it many times but it always failed, and the coblyns end up "agitated" and started to "attack in a frenzy"... Am I missing something? Thanks for any suggestions in advance!
