Lv 50 scholar quest [the beast within] question

I just want to make sure before making some report. Is the quest bugged ? i killed the boss as per the quest ask. but nothing happens and my character got stuck for the remainder of duty time.

edit: ah nvm you need to land the first hit to the boss, you'll see him coming through enemy lis and must hit him first befoe npc does or you'll get stucked. but it still bug i think, it wasmt supposed to be like that (there's no statement in quest nor cutscene that give any hint you to land first hit), maybe ill make some report
