allot of moaning (with reason) out there, but....

crafting is a bit, erm... shoddy, and AOE indicator is iffy, and there is a couple other things ;) but (and its a big but) the game has only just been (re)released so early days guys, the game can only get better,

and with tri-monthly updates raids and bosses and PVP coming "soon" hopefully some of the weaker aspects will come in to their own, eg PVP armor crafting, more rare weps/armor/met's that will sell like hotcakes and people can make gold via the AH and hopefully a LVL raise and new jobs (GUNSWORDS!!!!!!!-caps because im super serial! i needz gunsword)

soooooo anways guys just saying there are things that need addressing but im in love with this game, only been on a couple days and im hooked, it can only get better

I agree, there are a few valid complaints (though I wish they could be kept to a single thread per issue :( ) However, I too am in love with the game. Every time I learn something new, I continue to be amazed at the amount of careful thought put into every mechanic. So far, everything seems to flow nicely into everything else. Gathering into crafting, crafting into materia melding, gear into class/job levels, FATEs into storyline, side quests. It all interacts and overlaps really well.

I'm amazed at how quickly they put together this game, because it truly is a brand new game compared to 1.0 and even 1.23.

So far, my favorite things are finding new areas, and finding unexpected things in those areas. (Hermit's Hovel anyone?) All the areas affected by the wreckage of Dalamud are fantastic to look at. The new crafting scheme actually takes thought and consideration, and makes sense ^^

The Unspoiled Gathering points are a really neat addition! Frustrating, but well thought out as a lore and game mechanic.

Anyway, too much to mention in a single post, and I haven't even made it halfway through the main storyline yet. I'm taking my time to savor all of the new content and systems.

I mean hell, we can actually log in now.

i have played from FFVII and loved the old games, this just brings me back, i think its mainly the music :) its a joy to play and yer it has issues but it is early days, its getting compared to WoW allot but people are forgetting that is a 8 year old game with 8 years worth of tweaking, i for one cant wait to see what happens with this game :)
