How do you pronounce Miqo'te?

Been trying to figure this out for a while... but yeah how do you pronounce it? I have been saying "Mico-Tay" and I'm usually horribly wrong with this kinda thing lol

More or less like that. I put the emphasis on the "qo" part, with a glottal stop for the apostrophe (i.e. similar to the short pause in the middle of "uh-oh").

In IPA symbols, something like /mi:'koʔtɛ/ is how I say it myself. My main uncertainty is the exact quality of the final e sound.

"My cutie", obviously. :p
Honestly though, since it's Squeenix we're talking about I'm pretty sure it'd be something close to how a Japanese person would pronounce "mikote".

I've always pronounced it "mee-CO-tay"

I read it as if it were latin.

I've been calling them "Me-coat".

I just want to know how to pronounce some of those names the npcs have in Limsa, that look like gold sellers names. ;)
