SO...High Level FATE, fun ?

Hi,

I've done the Odin FATE for the first time yesterday and, as I suspected (I've played to GW2), it was everything but fun.

So many people that you can actually see half of them, or even Odin sometimes.

It doesn't require any strategy. It's just a massive zerg; the more the quicker (and easier).
And I didn't had any lag.

Do you have fun when doing those HL FATE ? (haven't try Behemoth yet)
I feel like I was on a besieged boss back in FFXI. (People was doing those only for IS and skillup, not fun)
I fail to see the fun in that.

I mean, FATE for XP, ok fine (but please lower the XP reward on fate...it's way too much), there wont to many people on this, it might actually be fun.
But FATE as part of the HL content ? I do not see the point.

I would have much, much more enjoyed either an instanced battle, or a outdoor one for a 24 mans raid. (even if it means I'll never kill him)


What do you think ?

fate has to be higher XP then grinding or people wont bother unless they want GC seals only.

FATE's like where the beastmen kidnap npc's should have an effect to the game like messing up trade routes so shop npc's can sell items till you save them.

I hate FATEs because of the number of people causing loading troubles and the fact that I can only get a whack or two on a mob before it dies. The boss FATEs are the only ones exempt from this problem, but they're all just boring tank and spank fights.

FATEs are boring zerg fights, and the masses that farm FATEs like a locus swarm doesn't make it any better. I wouldn't even bother if not for the GC seals and minions.
