Uraeus Glitched.

Some players are angry at us, thinking we hacked the game... we really don't know what happened. It just stayed there waiting us to kill him!!

Its not specific to this mob, it also happened in XI, what you've done (intentional or not, or the mob just happened to do it) is get some part of the mob stuck underground. Now your video is bad because its hard to see with the resolution, but you are fighting on a slant, and mobs dont curve across a slang, they're always straight, and even a tiny bit of him can be going through the floor and be stuck.

I've had it happen many times on buffalo because of where he spawns, the new collision adjustments they made may have made this even worse.

It happened in XI also and everyone knows the notorious use of the exploit on AV, which then it got patched.

Dont worry its not your fault. Kinda amusing though.

PS. Spamming 1 wont make your attack go any faster lol. And kind of ruins peoples arguments of "no nm's need tactics!" :P

You can see it wedged in lol and we tried to move it but it wouldnt move.

Also I think any kind of "uneven" or abnormal terrain causes it, because raptors used to (or may still) do this: http://viion.co.uk/upload/files/ffxi...7-32-15-78.jpg which would cause them to not fight back.

Reported this glitch several weeks ago with video when a shell took to trying to set that formation up on purpose. After reporting gil loops like bone fish hooks and seeing an emergency maintenance 70 hours later for it I expected another emergency maintenance. Nothing. Glitch has been known for a good 3 months. It's led to every NM kill for free except dodore from what I've heard.

Yah you cant do it to Dodore due to his flying statuz

Its also very hard to do it on gobbys, I've not seen it but heard you can. I've seen it on buffalo most cuse with area its so easy. And Sheeps/Uraeus.

But yeah, i wouldn't worry if it wasn't intentional, i doubt anyone even knows how to force that glitch yet.

BTW one thing I think is common is it happens when the mob attempts to "return to its territory", and fails to do so, thats why its no longer attacking as its waiting until its back at its spawn point, but sadly due to being stuck never gets there.
