The above topic contains a number of players, mostly from Europe suffering from out of sync or poor latency exclusively in relation to AoE attacks, making much of the boss content extremely difficult if not impossible.
I'm suffering from this issue myself, and currently run the game via a 120mbps Virgin Media DSL connection, which is not being throttled, with a latency of about 100-110ms.
Same here, having a lot of problems because of this. People get angry at you when it's not even your fault....

Im having the same issues its really hard to do fates or any content when the game is like that, hope they fix it soon

Another thread about this topic was already moved into the Accepted Bugs Subforum, so I guess it's safe to assume that SE is looking into it.
I'm from Canada near Montreal and I have a 60mb/sec connectionwith a high end PC. Nothing lag for me ever, no games ever lag because of my connection. Not even ffxiv lag anywhere even with hundreds of people around me. But the aoe casted by monsters, it's almost impossible for me to not get hit by an aoe. Unless I'm almost out of it when it land and try to get out right away. I can then proceed to run as far away as possible and most of the time taking multiples steps away from the red area and of course still get hit and most likely one shot, Thanks SE.
I'm from the US playing on Goblin from a PS3 and my friends and I (even my friend on the PC, though not as bad) run into this issue on every single dungeon. Even when I'll clearly avoid the attack and run to the front of someone who is on the otherside of the room, I will still get hit. Most of the time, on their screens, I move just out of range but not enough to avoid. On my screen, I'm running for dear life trying to avoid it.
It makes tanking very difficult since most of the fights rely on me avoiding damage but it makes fights like the guardian in sunken temple of Qarn next to impossible. Not only do I have to dodge it, my friend (the healer) has to dodge it while being battered. It proves next to impossible to dodge these moves in tight areas with these synchronization issues.
This has only appeared since the latest server upgrades.
