VIDEO GUIDE: Maximizing you FF14:ARR frame-rates

Hello all, I made a video guide on my stream on how to increase your in game frame rates through some windows fixes and software settings, this should yield anywhere from 1-16fps increases.

I don't really understand what you are referring to with "aero mode" - it looked like all you did was change your theme / background?

aero mode is a system UI that uses heavy processes when you don't want it to. XSplit disables it automatically for you anyways, but turning it off renders more processing power to running progs and such.

Why not just post the tips in written format? It would be much easier to see what you are talking about then.

Hugely helpful things i'd completely missed.

I tested these out last night, as did some of my guildmates. Unparking the CPU does offer some performance improvement, but it seems to vary a lot depending on your system and where your bottleneck is. For me, I only gained 0.5 FPS on the benchmark. However, some of my guildmates saw bigger gains.

As for the "aero mode", I feel like wolfman was a little confused/confusing in his explanation. He's actually turning aero off, not on. On my system, this had absolutely no impact on framerates at all. (Actually my benchmark score dropped by a few points when I turned aero off, but not even a tenth of a frame's worth.)

I'm going to try f.lux this weekend.

Are you talking about windows Aero? I've tested over and over myself and it automatically turns off when you launch a game. It has no effect at all on or off..

If yer system can't handle Aero being on then it's really time to upgrade lol

If all you can see, Strychnine, when people genuinely try to help others, is a form of negativity and means of self gain then I am sorry you don't have the maturity to understand why good people help others in this world.

See it as you want,

do I get more people visit my stream because of this? yes.
Do I get more people come and appreciate what I do because of this video? yes.

Was it a shameless plug? no. I am happy I can help people improve their performance and introduce them to f.lux. I don't stream for money, I make 0 income off of it and I do it because I have a love for gaming..... Take that as you will, I'm just happy the people who are willing to accept the help get the performance increases they otherwise would not have gotten.

I respect your opinion and hope you understand that this is meant to help people, if my stream gets exposed because of this, well, then so be it, I cannot control that.
