None. It's a maintenance patch. Major update are usually numbered, not lettered.
1.16 - System Adjustments, implementation of NM content.
1.17 - Preparation for Grand Companies, Mid-range NM Implementation.
1.17a - Fixes, fixes, fixes. It's gonna be a small patch. SMALL.
To reiterate, content and gameplay patches tend to be incremential in NUMBERS. The "a" at the end of 1.17 means it's a fix, or a progress patch.
Don't get your hopes up.
They had announced they split the patch into two this time. 70% in the last patch, 30% in this one. Just want to know what we will be seeing
Except SilvertearRen, that Yoshi-P told us that originally there wasn't to be a patch 1.17a but due to the disaster in Japan, they couldn't get the rest (30%) of the content ready for 1.17 thus making a 1.17a patch. That indicated that there would atleast be some sort of content. But who knows?!

I'd like to know too, we know it's going to be content held back in 1.17, but WHAT that is... we don't really know.

If you could call a guess an idea, I would guess it includes a fix for the fix that keeps retainers in the Market Wards when servers crash.
It might also include an adjustment to the respawn timers of the 20 mid-rank NMs.
If we are lucky, it will also include some beefing up of the HNMs.
If we are really lucky, it will even add a few more Grand Company quests and the continuation of the Hatchingtide holiday event quests.
Generally, the team only tweaks the original patches features in the "a" and "b" subpatches. Brand new stuff is usually given its own patch number.
EDIT: Good point on the disaster postponing some content. So we're very likely to get some more quests, then.
