A European datacenter!
I know there was talk about bringing it in if there was enough interest shown.
Now I don't know if I'm alone here, but I've been having the infamous AOE latency, ALOT. I live in sweden, have a great computer and play on a 100mbit/s line.
I don't think I should get hit by aoes that I clearly stepped out of 3 seconds earlier.
A great example is the last boss in dzamael darkhold. It felt ridiculous to say the least.
My suspicion is that this is due to the datacenters location. I have a NA friend on the server and he doesn't seem to be experiencing alot of issues, while I know other friends who most certainly are. This could be coincidence, but I don't think it is.
If we can't have our own datacenters, I'd at least like an adjustment to the timing of the AOE for us on the european servers.
If I'm alone on this by all means call me out and tell me I'm wrong; but reaching endgame this is becoming a serious problem for me and is incredibly annoying both for myself and my groups

SE is way to cheap to do that. They should have servers on the NA west coast, east coast, and Europe in order to prevent latency. (If you come in here saying you have no latency, that is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE since the data needs to travel and that takes time.)
Montreal Canada is way too far from California, United States.

100% shameless bump. Are there seriously no other europeans out there concerned about this?
-
Bump from another European, surely its safe to say there is enough interest and a large enough player base for a European server option to be viable.

I got used to playing with bad 300ms ping in 1.0 and ffxi so the 60ms ping i have now is ok imo. (UK)

I also live in Sweden but I dont have any problems with moving out of aoe.
Only problem I have is when Im in fates with alot of ppl I cant see the enemy...dont know why its more important to see friends then the enemy...was the same in gw2.

I live in Scotland. I have my ethernet cable plugged into the back of a sheep. My pet haggis runs in a wheel inside my computer... and I STILL have latency issues.
We need a Konschtat Highlands Data Center....

The AoE lag is pretty bad in europe, yes. It's more or less the only thing holding back my enjoyment of the game right now. A european datacenter would be wonderful.
-
Honestly I had issues with the aoe's once I switched from wireless to a wired connection no issues at all no lag or anything, my issues now are ps3 can't load certain fates phasing priority needs to be better like boss>party> other players not random bs in and out.

It was a lot worse in p3/p4 for me, this now is quite playable. During quick casts it still can be a problem though, yes. As a tank, gotta be on the ball at all times.
