You can't change it. SE might be able to do it, but I'm not sure. The best you can do is submit a support ticket and hope.

Why would you want to? It's a good name.
That aside, being able to change what name you display would be a nice option, but I visit several forums where it just isn't a thing. May just have to delete the forum account and re-register with a new name. It's not like post count matters in the long run. -

you can't change your display name.. you can change the character by clicking the star on the characters heads in the character screen in your forum options or profile.. unsure what the correct screen is..
can anyone tell me if i have a character displaying?? my posts don't appear to have a character under my display name from my perspective.. -

Also, if you created your forum account two years ago, you'll have to use it now no matter how irrelevant it currently is.
