PS3 Map Issues
I'm not sure exactly when this started, but I think it was after I spoke with an NPC in Limsa Lominsa as part of the Wrath of Titan main story quest...
When I hit square to open the area map, it no longer becomes transparent (regardless of settings), and the floating text on the map (place names, zone names and labels) no longer appear.
I've tried to log out and back in, and default settings, etc, and nothing works to restore the issue. I knew this was happening during beta, but I thought it was fixed. It's kind of really annoying. XP
Anyone have a fix for this? If not, it should be fixed~!
Thanks!

The entire map on PS3 could use a redesign. 99% of the time when I try to scroll around it, the controller slips, and it jumps me back to the starting point on the map. Sometimes it's visible, sometimes it's transparent. It doesn't want to go away when I tell it to, and I really can't find what I'm looking for.

It can certainly use a simple 'mark location' option where you can click on the map, and get a direction to lead you there on your compass. I mean, wth ELSE am I supposed to do with that map? Use it and lose most of my peripheral vision? Even on 'transparent' it's useless.
As for the OP, if you had changed the zoom level on the map at some point, it would save it, and every time you load the map it would go to that zoom level - making the map not display the names, and such stuff.
As for getting OUT of the map? I've been forced to rely on 'start' button - it kills it every time ;)
