I have a level 15 Marauder at Aleport working on my Hunter Log (completed level 19 mobs), Leve quests, and Fates. I have outleveled Aleport and do not know where the next quest hub is located for my level.
When should I travel to Ul’Dah to start leveling Gladiator? How do I travel to Ul’Dah to join the Gladiator guild? Also, are they must have cross-class abilities for the Marauder/Warrior for leveling and end-game?
Just keep following your story quests, they will lead you to everything you need. Airships to other cities, quest hubs, grand companies for your chocobo, etc.
If you can't find your next story quest, check if you have Recommendations unlocked. If you are on PC, you have to click on the list looking icon in the micro menu. Not sure where it is in the PS3 menu.
Otherwise, try going back to the adventurer's guild in your city to see if there isn't a quest there waiting for you, and don't forget to do your Class Quests as your Level 15 quest gives you an extremely useful skill.
Gladiator will be very important for you if you want to level Warrior. Not only is it required for you to get level 15 Gladiator to unlock Warrior, you will also get several defensive buffs and extremely valuable tanking tools, like Flash which is a short range AOE spell that gives you enmity, and Provoke which instantly match your enmity with whoever has the highest, perfect for those emergency moments where you die, get raised, and need to get hold of the enemy again.
Well everyone plays their way but if you are unsure of where to go next, then your best bet is to check the map anytime you go into a zone.
Find the NPCs with the Gold Thought Bubbles as they will give you quests to do and reward you with exp so you can continue leveling without a worry about
how to get to the next level. Every zone has a ton of quests and more will unlock when you revisit those same areas once you've reached certain levels.
The Main Story Line will eventually lead you to the next cities so you could wait for that part to go traveling to other cities if you wanted and just work on your current cities quests.
I was not sure following the story quests would advance me to everything needed.
