From personal experience, I like healing warriors more. I am a WHM. To me, they seem to take less damage/hold hate better. Perhaps I haven't run into a "good" paladin yet. I'm level 50 and all of the paladins I have grouped with on the way to 50 and at 50 have been not-so-good. Is paladin harder to play or something? Oh well. Which do you prefer? :)
Depends on the player and how well they can tank. If they are a good tank then I don't mind which to heal.
If I'm SCH I'd rather heal PLDs because I could put my heal buff on them, let the Fairy heal more while I put DoTs on the boss to help take it down faster, but if I'm WHM I'd rather heal WARs because I have more burst heals and a Regen I actually have the power to control (untill they fix the pet's Obey functions)
doesn't matter to me, as long as they are well geared and don't get 2 shots from trash mobs.
Although, WARs sometime look like derps to me for some reason...
Same as other people above don't mind which so long as their gear is on par with their level and are not terrible. Though warriors have a slight advantage over paladins on the tonberry king with being able to take 5-6 stacks of grudge instead of 3-4 for paladins.
I haven't noticed to much of a difference.
To me, a tank is a tank plan and simple. I am a WHM, and if they need healed I heal them.
I prefer to heal the good tanks over the bad tanks.
Paladin / Warrior makes no difference to me. I have seen both be exceptional tanks in both mitigation and maintaining agro, and I have seen both fail miserably not even being able to withstand the alpha strike of a trash pack let alone hold agro on it.
It's all about who is driving in my book, not what they drive.

From my experiences so far I've preferred Paladin, mostly because my pocket tank is a Paladin, I find he's less spikey to heal holds aggro well, and hell last night when things got a little out of hand he threw me a heal so that I could get everyone back up from some major aoe damage that I wasn't prepared for. It's also in part that I've had a super squishy warrior tank where I practically had to spam cure 2 to keep his face off the floor, taking the Global cooldown to Esuna him got him killed. And having a jerk Warrior yell at me for not healing when he was killed by multiple final stings because dps wasn't focusing targets.
Outside of the bad experiences PAL/WAR seem fairly equal, I've just had best luck with my pocket pally as a white mage.
