PS3 SCREEN GOING DARK DURING GAMEPLAY
here's what happens :
im playing doing some quests or whatever and my screen randomly goes dark. i can see the mini map on the corner. my chat window, my hud and the people in my party. i can aslo see the name above peoples head and the name of the monsters. but i cannot see them, my character or anything else. it goes away when i log out but then happens again after awhile. it also goes out randomly on its own but it happens again and again. i tried reintalling the game and everything but that didnt work. i tried switching to my av cable instead of HDMI but its the same. and ive tried googling it and stuff but i can't find any answers and only seen a handfull of people with this exact problem.

Recent maintence and PS3 fat question
BEFORE YOU READ THE REST OF THIS:
Please be paitent with square enix on this issue, they have more problems than just this screen problem, although this is a issue that should be fixed ASAP just keep in mind that they are just starting this game up for the masses and that they will indeed have problems with the game at first.
@ Beetle juice.
you MAY absoultly be right my friend, they should do some more test before they just declare the ps3 fat will not work.
For instance -
there is a website i read off of google and the guy was having this same problem and he thought that it was his ps3 Fat, so he went and bought a new 250 GB PS3 Slim and it still gave him the same problem. That was just one person though...theres not enough evidence really to suggest it is just the PS3 Fat...atleast not yet.
they did some maintence on the PSN(Playstation Network)today but i had my doubts, and as a skeptic i didnt belive they fixed the problem, not yet, so i waited for the screen to screw up, eventually and unfortunatly it still went black.
with my previous experiences with programming....it looks almost as if something is causeing the display code to break which in turn, sets the output of what you see as a dark screen, my reasoning behind this is i start seeing alot of glitchy spots before the screen goes dark. but also...i did not write the code for this game...so i could very well be wrong.
