PS3 System Locks Up

Steps:
I have had this error occur in a few ways. Most of the time I am just running or standing somewhere. The game will completely freeze and lock up my PS3 system to the point that it will not respond to the buttons on the controller (including the PS button) and it will not respond to the buttons on the system itself. I can only power down/reset the system by unplugging it from it's power source and when I boot it back up it says that it was shut down incorrectly and must check the hard drive for corrupted data.

I have also had this error occur when at the menu screen for the game when I go to quit the game through the XMB. System will freeze and I can only shut it down by unplugging it.

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further try to discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
