Dungeon Update Idea~

Anyways was thinking about the dungeons and how they are a nice little distraction of the outside world or just the general grind. It is still fresh and young being that the game has just come out of beta(woot!). After trying these little voids of exploration and adventure, I found that there seems to be room that could be improved here. As the Dungeons are they seem to server best for mainly as plot points for the story and in a way some that have finished them feel of no need to return after completion; I found the that return in the rewards was none existent.

This is mainly true for the lower lv Dungeons, so I thought about it for a little bit and came up with an idea I wanted to share with the community.

It is a sort of setting that can be featured in the "Duty Finder" that lets you select a mode for the dungeon that you and your friends, or random strangers can try out to expand your adventures.

There will be four modes:

~Normal:
Is a casual mode main reason is to help people get an understand about the dungeon or are just dong it for the story mode. All settings as they are will remain the same. {Rewards remain the same}

~Hard:
Monsters have more HP and do more Damage, More monsters will span in the area and there will be a reduction in the time needed to complete the trial.
{Grants better rewards and more chests upon Boss' defeat.}

~Expert(Lv50~ [subject to change at the whim of the devs]):
Slightly higher settings compared to hard mode, more monsters, even less time, and monsters will now re-spawn after a short amount of time has passed.
{More chests Boss' defeat, with much greater rewards}

~Time Trials:
Has the settings of Hard mode(Again subject to change at the whim of the devs), but you will now be timed on how fast you and your team complete the Dungeon.
{Rewards the same as in Hard mode}

The recodes of the "Beaten Dungeon Times" would be record by a Moogle that can be station near each Dungeon. The records will reset after each weekly maintenance. for the Teams that manage to have and hold top three best times by the time weekly maintenance comes around will be reward after the maintenance had concluded with a gift delivered to them though Moogle Net(Well the Mail Delivery). To be honest I don't know if this game will have weekly maintenance.


1st > [Dungeon name] Ticket: Lets the players be able to select one item of their choice from the Dungeon that they got the best time in.

2nd > [Dungeon name] Lotto Ticket: Randomly grants a reward from item (from dungeon they toke 2nd place in) or an Elixir.

3rd > Gives a single Elixir to the party.

Tis but an honest idea and maybe a way to have people want to continue to make use of the dungeons for there later game play experience. Mainly my hopes that at least something like the Time Trials makes it way into the game, it adds that fun competition and Team work.

Thank you for reading this post tis a little on the long side, but wanted to as a player help add on to this game that, even though having log-in issues like most others have had at this time, I have enjoyed playing since v1.0!

would actually love this, other mmos have it, and helps with the gear grind a bit, and also gives us more to do other then being limited to a very small amount of max lvl dungeons outside raiding, also some of the lower lvl instances are nicely design, SE make more use of these, dont put them to waste
