Serious Targeting issues, help!

I finally figured out why the targeting system is so terrible. In the Keybind menu, it says Tab cycles through the enemies nearest to farthest. This is NOT the case. Tab targeting (with default keybinds) ACTUALLY cycles through enemies from left to right.

I'll have two enemies a few steps in front of me. Tab targets the first one on the left, then ignores the one a step to the right and instead targets one completely out of range and almost out of sight, but technically in between the first two, THEN it targets the close one on the right.

Does anyone know a way to make Tab ACTUALLY cycle through the enemies, nearest to farthest? I know F11 targets the closest, but I really need it to cycle. I don't want two buttons for target left and right. This is a pretty basic feature in literally EVERY MMO ever that just isn't right in this game, at least with default settings. I can't even click on the enemy when Tab fails me because the hitbox to click enemies is so small, and doesn't work properly when they're moving.

Oh, and this 1000 character limit is horrible.

Tab cycles from nearest to farthest for me...are you sure the ones from left to right are not also nearest to farthest?

I've had mixed reviews with this also. I've had it tab nearest to farthest but I've also had it cycle through random enemies who aren't anywhere near my in any logical order.

Tab targeting is a bit of a problem and I haven't really found a way around it yet.

I'm really hoping Square decides to make clicking on enemies/other players easier, because right now it's a massive pain to try and do so in the middle of a FATE.

YEs its annoying even for the PS3. And it sucks cause going thru a dungeon and actually trying to help doing DPS.... not happening.....
