Goldsmithing

I am a 1.0 player returning, so I fired up my level 25 goldsmith and had to redo the quests, no problem there, but in one of the quests the questgiver sent me down to Eustace in the Adventurers guild, who told me to get lost. I have a few recipes up to level 30 and no ability to craft anything not on the list. Are there no more leve quests for crafting? or ways to get new recipes.

Is this what crafting has come down to now? Or have I missed a huge chunk of the storyline, somewhat confused please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

The recipes for each level range should be the complete set that is available, levelling up will unlock higher ranges. You get a nice chunk of exp the first time you complete a recipe, and there's achievements based on the number of unique items you have unlocked.

Most of the goldsmith class quests I've done so far involved providing an item, you have to make this yourself as a normal, and I don't think materials are provided (but early materials can be bought in the guild).

Yes there are leves for goldsmithing, I think you may have to get up to level 10 on the main story and do a quest from the leve-giver in the adventurers guild, but might be wrong on exact requirements. Seems like you can only get crafting leves from the city the guild is in. Mostly they involve turning in an item but don't provide the materials, so its a kind of gil-for-exp situation.

I have found the crafting leves seem to be capped at 15 or so. Go to any other higher leve giver and get a no leves available message. So thats not the way to go. Any info on a higher leve giver for crafting would be great.

You need to go out in the world and unlock leves from camps at different level ranges this unlocked lvl 15+ leves for my ARM

I've just been getting mine in the adventurers guild in Ul'dah, my current favourite is one of the level 45 ones for electrum amber circlet. I don't recall the exp precisely, I have a feeling it's something like 32k.

I have gone out to the world and unlocked the leves, my main is up to a 35 and have unlocked all leves along the way. But when I go out as my crafting roll and ask for higher ones they say no available. Maybe im still doing something wrong. Again, any help would be great.

As ARM, I get a good chunk of exp from doing leves. I get mine in Limsa and I don't think I had to do anything special to get them. My main is 39 and I keep it up to date on main story quests in case theres a link between the due. My best advice when doing leaves though is make sure you turn in HQ items. You get a massive boost to exp (200% bonus) so a single level at 35 for me is giving 65k exp. It is quite lovely.

In order to do the leves at the camp you must be AT the level of the leve at least. If i recall in 1.0 we could do level 20 leves on say a level 15 goldsmith, but what I have found now is that you must actually be level 20 before you can pick up the level 20 leves. I also leveled my conjurer to 25 so that I could get the leves faster, but alas they still did not unlock for me until I actually hit 20.

I have reached level 27 Goldsmith now but I am still unable to do any of the leves, Eustace says I'm too low level but I'm 27, I think there may be some sort of glitch for me. The only leves I can do seem to be on monk >< I tried in all the towns and still they say I'm too low. I dunno perhaps Squeenix has too much on their plate to fix this atm.

Have you unlocked leves with a combat class by following the storyline missions?
