I have tried to get on NA servers since the 27th of August when I bought the game and no luck. Are ALL the NA servers shut down? At times I see some lit up like I can try and sign into them but they just give me the "server is full, please try again later" message. I am pretty bummed I have had the game for almost a week and not been able to get on any NA servers. I would like to play with folks in my time zone instead of those in EU. Anyone else had the same experience?
According to the other 8000 threads on this, everyone has this issue. You just have to keep trying. There's not really another way around it. It generally hasn't taken me more than 30 minutes to log into my server but it'll probably vary depending on which server you play and what time you're trying to log in.
Keep trying or wait till it's fixed today.
Well, at first I made 6 characters on 6 different worlds to try and increase my chances. After trying for about an hour on the 27th, I gave up for a few hours. I came back and tried again for hour, same result. The 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st, same result. I spent an hour at times through the day trying and NEVER got on, not once, except on the EU server Odin. Unfortunately, I cannot play on there much either, because I usually get the "obtaining list of NA/EU servers message" and with the only server I was able to get on being in EU, I typically am locked out. I created characters on 5 NA servers and 1 EU. I have tried the Ultros, Behemoth, Adamantoise, Cactuar, and Siren, but had no luck the past week. I even tried at crazy times such as 2 am and still not able to get in. Since trying, I have deleted 5 of those characters to avoid having them scattered. I mainly did it to test and to hope a stroke of good luck would come my way. Hopefully Wednesday will fix things.
Everyone is smashing their buttons to get into the server and as well AFK players are a waste of space :( Just hope the maint will work this out
Before running into registration woes, I had success playing on one of the JP servers. Met some awesome people there. I also created a few characters on different servers with the hopes of actually getting to play on one of them. Good luck!
At one point, I was forced to join a Japanese server because ALL of the NA/EU worlds were restricted. Now I just can't log in whatsoever. It's either 'World is currently full' or 'Position in queue: 566' ... I gave up. :P Now I'm going to work in hopes that tonight after the maintenance, the game will be easily accessible.
