Why is PS3 so worthless?

After playing for a few days on the PS3, it has become blatantly obvious that it is a worthless system to be playing this game on.

Don't get me wrong, the controls are great, they work nicely on it and mesh really well. My issue is with the inability to render ANYTHING if more than 2 people are standing in the area. When doing FATEs that have ANY kind of boss fight, I spend about 3/4 of the boss fight waiting for the boss to render, and that is simply by standing on top of where I think they are, since none of the players render too.

This is very ineffective when it comes to FATEs with stuff like Odin or Behemoth(which I am aware people have rendering issues on PC, but this is insanely stupid). There is no reason for anyone running a PS3 to even have a melee based class because of this. Hell, it's pointless to even use it on any class for the bigger stuff that matters.

How are we suppose to even get any rewards for these if we instantly die before the mob even renders? It's not just the mob that renders, but the red circles too. This has got to be the biggest flaw I have ever seen because you can't change the graphics options at all to counter the lag issue of the system.

Maybe there is some hidden option nested deep down somewhere that makes it a little more bearable in these situations, but as far as I have noticed, and for the reason I actually got the PS3 version while I'm waiting for the PC version to get fixed, was to do open world stuff while not being constricted to my computer.

Is there any sort of fix for this coming in the future, or is it time to abandon the PS3 version after a few days?

Many PC players have this problem too. There's an option to remove special effects that some people say works.

I have 0 spell effects on for party, non-party, and self. This is still a major issue. The first thing I did when I loaded up the PS3 was to remove all of those because of the rendering issue on PC for some things.

I have no issues with the ps3 version wich I find it very better than pc due tp the fact it feels more flexible and dynamic.

I will say that I am rather amazed at this games pc graphic quality on lowest settings. I think in reality that is due in part to the ps3 exportation of the game.
I have a super computer for my main pc, but my laptop is barely functional and it can play it pretty well....granted only at 13 frames, the fact it can run it at all is like WOW to me.

you can zoom out and zoom in, you can change the effects under the settings, you can even change wich color you want with type of PC or NPC or MOB to be ( makes it easier when ur targetting gets sloppy cause of too many freakin ppl arround , i put fugly but flashy colors ).... and as for graphics rendering aside from the lift guys and some vendors i have no issues. And I am a melee class. And enjoying it.. ... from a ps3 !

I have the same issue as SarkdenTepes with the PS3 version. I can't even get a gold in fates unless I'm the first one there or it isn't one of the boss fights. The lag is horrendous when in those situations. I literally see my character just sliding across the ground until everything renders. And even then the enemies sometimes don't render at all. Really really sad and disappointed with the limitations I'm seeing. And I'm a melee as well :/ I surely thought I was just experiencing this problem myself. but I'm glad it more than just me.

My PS3 has no issues with this game, runs great. My only issue is working on the targeting system.

Might be your PS3. Mine has no problem rendering my party, bosses, fates, etc. Of course the machine does have a limit to what it can render, but for the most part everything in my immediate vicinity gets the proper display it needs to have.

I'm not Level 50 but am reaching the later stages of the game, when a boss fate, say Svara spawns all my PS3 can display is the 15-20 Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar pets all stood in front of the Mob, and then a few players themselves. It is near impossible to have the PS3 recognise the Mob is there or actually show it.

We really need the game tweaked on how it handles the pets/Carbuncles as I do not need to see them; I have tweaked/filtered my targeting system to minimise the selection issues while targeting but it still always auto selects any pets on screen before the mobs.

So imo the pets need to be re-classed into either Group Member/PC section or Minions. This way it would ignore them while in dd/dps role or always ignore them. It is so frustrating that the game seems to deem them more important than anything else on the screen.

Also on Minions, rather than just being able to untick them on the filter for targeting, should have an option to hide them all together, as it is a bit ridiculous that they let you have a companion running behind you, Minion (no purpose) and Class pets when there is already too many PCs running around without the extras coming along with them all.

Enjoying the game, when I am able to log in, just still got issues stopping it from being better than it currently is.
