Unspoiled Gear

I'm trying to get my perception up and I've been reading that the max perception on any given gathering point is 15%

Right now I geared to meet the requirements of Unspoiled Gathering Nodes which is 320 perception which gives me 1% chance to HQ.
I'm looking to improve this to HQ 15%.

Is there any formula or could someone recommend what they use to achieve maximum possible HQ percentage.

There is no way to have a base HQ rate of 15% on those items. The most you could theoretically get it to is 4 or 5%, maxing out on perception gear with food.

So just getting about 200GP (with your base 400) to get 600 then use "Toil Of The Mountaineer" or "Toil of the Pioneer" for out of reach items.
Then using the ability for HQ 30% increase (Assuming you got the 320 Perception)
Would I be better off in this scenario?

Yes thats what I do, also don't forget about Deep Vigor or Brunt Force which will bump your hq and main item to 100% but you have to have a successful chain 4

Hmm I couldn't get deep vigor to trigger after 4 successful chains. Do they not work at unspoiled nodes?

Nvm it worked wasn't counting the chains right lol

I have a question. Is it possible to get 100% gathering rate on these nodes (without ability use) or is it capped at 90%?

Its capped out of 90% my guild tested it every 1 star node caps at 90% once you hit that without food or with food you wont go higher unless you use skills. The best set up you can possibly have is 320 min percep 600 or 650 if you can manage it gp wise and whatever gathering gets you to 90% its somewhere around 345 i believe.

The gear you needs is all hq on jewlery and you can get by with non hq 50 gear except your off hand should be hq.

NNNNOOOOOO!!! (Darth Vader voice) Need to remeld my gear then -_-. Thanx Bigbadwolf for clearing that up. Ok one more question. Anyone have an idea how to get 650GP without food? Every slot hq will give you 573ish GP. So is another77 GP worth of materia possible?

Is there a spreadsheet out there that gives the run down on the materia limitations on the AR mining gear?

Don't want to waste 50k on GP materia if it's going to cap out at a stupid low number.

for those looking for hq rate but dont have the massive GP pool you can just do one regular swing on the unreachable slot with the item you want to reveal it then pop your hq percent increase, but by doing that you loose a swing on the node.
