My PS3 drops audio on Cutscenes , FATES , Dungeons and sometime just zoning.
Not sure if it's my PS3 or if it's got some technical glitch but.. it's quite annoying.
Only way to fix is to turn off and back on.. which I dare not do because of 1017 error.
So I play with no Audio. This = no fun
Anybody confirm if this is a SONY PS3 issue or is this a software issue with the game?:mad:
My wife has had this happen to her several times, all sound ceases. It's happened in multiple zones, and moving from one zone to another does not help. Sometimes the crowd/background murmur in locations can be heard. 3 other members of my free Company (all PS3 players) have complained of the same symptoms.
They have tried altering audio settings, checking the HDMI connection, transferring zone or entering an instanced battle, all without any change in the audio, once it's gone, it's gone. If you logout (at your own peril, beware 1017) and get back into the game, the sound returns.
I've never had this issue, and my Ps3 model is identical to my wife's one, and she has the issue. Difficulties with logging in have prevented me from testing this further, but I am wondering whether the sound issue might affect players who are starting the game from the physical disc, and not from the HDD. I play using the copy downloaded to my HDD, I believe that my wife has been starting her game from the BluRay. I know that the game patch and install is on the HDD anyway, but I cannot think of any other possible difference between my PS3 configuration and that of my wife.
I play on PS3, and never had the sound issue.
Besides this, i can't help you, sorry.
I play on PS3 with a downloaded version and i have the same issues.
Sometimes it's the music going off, sometimes its the sound effects, sometimes both.
They can also come back one or another and go back off.
And yes the only way to settle this is a restart and with those 1017, i often play with no sounds.
Should probably post your PS3 models and sound settings.
