Pompous Tophats - A Raucous Band of Merry Man-Children

Pompous Tophats is recruiting raiders and PVP'ers anew for Patch 2.1. We currently have 3 coil groups downing turn 4 and are continuing Twintania progression. We'd like to have a fourth group started soon. Raid times are Monday through Thursday (2 nights a week with staggered groups) starting at 8-9 EST. We use our own Mumble server and are currently saving up for a large FC house. PvP soon to come, along with website support to help coordinate matches.

Newer players are welcome. We're willing to teach mechanics to people competent enough to learn.

Warning: We are a FC of dicks and trolls... "class"holes if you will. This game is too dull to be played without some sense of humor and a good community. That said, if you have a bad case of super-cereal, prepare for a verbal nightmare.

Goals:

3. There will be absolutely no consumption of super-cereal while playing.
4. Use of proper grammar and punctuation is grounds for bonus points.

Cheating Policy: (We kid you not, some FCs actually feel the need to have one.)
Pompous Tophats feels that cheating is just the excuse we've been waiting for to finally end this lifeless marriage and claim half of our assets in a long and drawn-out divorce.

The voices in my head have been asking themselves lately what all the hubbub is about Hardcore FCs, especially this newer branch of FCs calling themselves Semi-Hardcore.

"How can anyone be only partially totally devoted to something" they ask me in exasperation. "Is there anything more to it than an oxymoron inadvertently created through poor understanding of logic?"

I've thought long and hard on my voice's words, and have finally come to a most reasonable explanation: Semi-Hardcore FCs are Casual FCs who are undergoing a change into Hardcore FCs. With that in mind, I have an important announcement to make:

Pompous Tophats is fully Trans-Hardcore. We were once casual, but feel far more confident with ourselves as hardcore. And unlike these others, we've put in enough raiding operations to fully make the change -- no "semi" required.

Joyous news: Our scant application form on the website has been more fully fleshed out! Because we have both casuals and raiders in the FC, I've done my best to keep the credential questions to a minimum. Instead, I've added some questions that I believe are absolutely vital to sorting out the humorous from the horrible. We'll invite those who manage to tickle our fancy. And we are very, very fancy.

As a slightly (and only slightly) more serious addendum to our normally hilarious shenanigans, I do wish to note that, despite all the silliness, we are recruiting for raiding, we just hate the idea of excluding people for not being such. You never know, that one guy who has never even set foot in a level 50 raid may have four level 50 crafting classes and a desire to outfit the entire company in HQ crafted gear!

We're now in Turn 4 of Coil and looking for more raiders to fill out additional groups. Crystal Tower Get.

With our second Coil group now full and actively clearing content, we're doing another recruitment push for a third group. Whisper Alatar Skysong in-game if you're curious. We're willing to teach newer players that do not suffer from terminal stupidity.

Perfect gear is not a requirement for the guild, remember. A willingness to learn, and not being infected with the aforementioned Terminal Stupidity, though, are very much requirements. A great player with less than optimal gear is always more valuable then a perfectly geared idiot. One is teachable, one is a hopeless cause (and Turn 4 requires skill along with gear, so there's no room for dumbassery.)
