Logged into FFXIV and it only lets me select a legacy character I didnt do much with? Why want it let me select the main character I had high lvl classes as instead of mule?

Logged into FFXIV and it only lets me select a legacy character I didnt do much with? Why want it let me select the main character I had high lvl classes as instead of mule?
Any help please?
The only thing I can think of is your character is on another server or your character you're trying to log in to is on a different SE Account.
And can I set the number pad key to move?
When you log in, shouldn't it default back to the last character you used? I don't know how this works because I only have 1 character. If it really bothers you, just delete the character you don't use very often?
