Not only will it kick all the AFK players but it might fix that stupid login issues all the NA/EU servers are having. Take them down, restart them. And do this once a day until you fix the issue so that AFK people can't take up player slots.
We've come to known petitions simply do not work here.
already tried like 4 times to keep a thread going about routine reboots... not enough people support the idea, so it just sloughs off to the back pages every time.
They could have scripted it to run automatically on a schedule, whenever they felt is appropriate to alleviate problems. Would have only taken a few minutes to set up, as it is something done at the OS level and not within the games coding.
Oh well... we'll be getting a big shutdown tomorrow night while they add hardware and reconfigure things. Let's hope it improves things enough that we can play more regularly next weekend.
