Companion summon withdraws character from duty finder without warning
Time: 02. Sep. 2013, 9:00pm CEST (GMT+2)
Frequency: Always
World name: Cerberus
Character name: Tiffy Vega
Class/Level: White Mage, level 32
Steps:
1. Queue for a duty, e.g. Brayflox's Longstop Lv 32.
2. Summon companion via Gysahl Greens, while duty finder is readying duty.
3. Duty finder withdraws character without warning or confirmation. There is not even a message in the chat log, as far as I could see.
This behaviour should not be intended, as it may waste significant time of the player, who may be waiting in the duty finder queue since 20 minutes or more. As the duty finder withdraws the player silently without warning, this seems to be a bug and not a feature.
Expected behavior:
Trying to summon a companion while in a duty finder queue, should fail with an error message. The character should not be removed from the queue.
Alternative behavior:
Trying to summon a companion while in a duty finder queue, should create a confirmation dialog with a warning text, informing the player about the consequences of their actions. The player should have the possibility to either confirm or deny. If the player denies, the companion summoning should be aborted and the character should stay in the duty finder queue. If the player confirms, the companion should be summoned, and the character should be withdrawn from the duty finder.
