Will we be compensated for the lack of server availability?

Dear Square Enix,

This is not a complaint thread, I understand that things happen that are out of your control and are working tirelessly to fix it. But I've paid for the game with promise of a month of game time and have not been able to play (mashing the login button a billion times to get lucky is not my idea of fun) and the only times I have were during the beta phase 4 and occasionally early in the morning on weekdays because you can forget about getting on during the weekends.

So my question to SE is are we going to be compensated for the time lost due to the server issues? And by compensated I mean an extension of game time equal to the time it takes to fix the server loads.

Yes. 7+ days to your free 30 or w/e.

To clarify and be specific. It was mentioned that they were 'considering' adding that seven days. I think it will happen. It should. Else, they face the another type of ammunition the players have been firing at them.

SE will prob give 1-2 weeks free service. They can't give money back unless through a class action lawsuit. They can give free service though. So when all this fixed, we can all expect a length of period of free service.

they might as well go that route, like with version 1, give us a good while to get past this whole lack of preparedness launch and offer the game free from subscriptions for a period of time to regain the people who are giving up and want to forget about the frustration. I myself findmyself saying "F" it to this since im tired of combating there short comings. imean even my request on customer service email was returned to me stating they were to busy to deal with my matter. pretty rude if you ask me.

Give them the time needed to fix the problem. It is most likely they will reimburse free days for everyone, but if it takes them longer than a week to fix it wouldn't you want all those days free again ? I sure would. At the rate I see these repairs coming it may be longer than a week before they can get the servers stable enough to allow everyone to play when they want to.

to be fair I have gotten in every day, granted it has taken several hours to log on. Today though I haven't been able to get on at all.

Okay, but what about 1.0 players? I Don't have a subscription and decided to use the 15 free days they gave me as returning player. You think I will get some compensation too?

If you read Yoshi's note it says all players will be getting 7 free days which will include non-legacy 1.0 players.
