Metactirics slaughter!

A good game is being destroyed by critics because of a chaotic launch!
what a shame! never asked for this!

Metacritic destroying games? Not a surprise. I'll be even more surprised if this game doesn't switch to F2P after Metacritic's destruction. As of this post, 3.8 user rating and 49 out of 100.

It's got a 7.3 user rating.
I don't know what your definition of 'slaughter' is, but i've seen far worse slaughter. Go look up Diablo 3.

look at the red critics and see what they are all about?

There are only 2/4 "critic" reviews up right now, which isn't enough to give it a metacritic score. It's all just user reviews, which are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. Every popular game has cool/edgy people voting 0 or 10 like it matters.

Scoring it a 0/10 then saying it's a 6+/10. It's like common sense is viewed as a bad thing when posting stuff on the internet. This basically falls down to "I'M COOL BECAUSE I HATE POPULAR THINGS ONLINE!"

Any game critic who judges FFXIV based on temporary server issues which have a schedule to be resolved without mentioning how GREAT the game is when you actually get on, and that if/when the server issues are addressed (hopefully tomorrow will actually do everything they hope it will do) is not worth listening to anyways. They will look like a stupid reviewer in a few months when this game shines bright and the one main issue of the game right now (servers, which is an issue for all MMO launches that people play).

The simple fact that so many ppl will spend HOURs and HOURs just trying to log in should tell the reviewers everything they need to know. If the game was not great, who would send HOURs just trying to log in?
