Regarding Implementation of AFK Restrictions

If an AFK Restriction is created after your planned server upgrade, an AFK restriction less than ~23 hours is most likely unnecessary; unless, if the server upgrade for FFXIV:ARR is unable to withstand current traffic, and, future traffic of character creation, and, log-in availability, the implementation of an AFK Restriction will be necessary. Although, an AFK Restriction will increase the difficulty of players using programs toward illegitimate acquiring of materials for extended periods of time.
