Lobby Connection Error 2002
This probably ties in to the "Can't Click Start" post but oh well, maybe an actual error will bring it to someone's attention?
For the past hour now (10am to about 11-11:30 am Estern time) I start the game up and the Start option is "grayed out" not available and if I don't do something else like start the introduction movie or configuration then it comes up with the above noted error that it can't connect to the Lobby and Error 2002 then it reboots and goes through the entire loop again (starting with checking for updates then resigning into the site hitting the PLAY option and then right back to this...)
Does anyone have a clue?
So far this has been less than the best gaming experience I've had (and I thought waiting for 8 hours for WoW to install was bad back in the day).
Yesterday I let my brother play the game (you know word of mouth and all that) and all he could do was make characters and not play any of them because of full worlds.
So I play a little bit before bed when I could finally get into a world and now today I can't even get into the game.
If this is an apology for the last Online FF game it is a half hearted one at best.
From a business standpoint I thin I would have played it over safe and took a chance on eating some server space costs and drop those servers later if not used rather than starting out unprepared for the volume of the game's fans....but that's just me.
Worse of all SE is forcing me to do something constructive on my Holiday (ok that isa jest to end it on a light note, but seriously get it together guys would you?)
