Retainers clutter up the market wards

I think there should be a better market system now that we can search for items. Retainers stand around, look stupid, and nobody browses them anymore. The whole retainer system should be replaced with a "banking" type system. You should be able to go to a main area in the market wards to store all your items (similar to the guild counter, where you can talk to one NPC to store items, one to sell, etc.). Also selling items should go to a main location, and they can be distributed from there to the specific market ward that handles those items. I never understood why I have to go to the jeweler's ward for a sheep leather.

This system would cut a lot of traffic down in the market wards and allow people to get their items sold more efficiently.

I actually don't have a problem with the current system, the only thing I would like to see implemented is a price history of sorts and the ability to show +1, +2 and +3 items. Other than that does it really matter that you have to travel to the Jewellers ward to pick up cheap leather that you have searched for >.>?

If I'm not in a rush then I will browse through retainer bazaars; if not then at least I can do a search, mark the retainer with the item I want and make the purchase pretty quickly- can't say I really care which ward it is in.

Also, in regards to retainers "cluttering" the market wards.... what else would you expect to be in the space? ^^

Angrynixon or something had a great idea! turn them into zombies that want to eat you. Hell I would even play as retainers and eat potential customers! like a mini game to make MW more better lol

Of course if there is a search function...who is now going to spend the time to browse retainers?
Search function made MW browsing obsolete...if we now do not browse people's good and have a way of instantly bringing up prices on all retainers, they should go all the way and implement a whole AH style system. By this I mean
- get rid of MW all together
- retainer bazaar - gone
- have multiple access points throughout cities to AH windows (not just one or two central AH per city, helps with congestion)
- free city search for items, global search costs a fee
- your able to buy any item from any city AH giving you did global search to find what you need...you have to travel to that city to pick up goods. (maybe pile on another import fee if your to lazy to travel to pick up goods...like me lol)
- List of previous sales per item

What did I miss?

Giving what you all shouting for...this is the system you looking for??

Actually come to think of it...SE still can implement player markets where people can still rent out stalls and still setup some kind of shop. I would still browse player markets even if a AH system was implemented.
