Server maintanence should probably not be done at primetime in NA.

I understand that you can never find a perfect time for everyone, but I think prime time (8PM EST / 5PM PST) is probably a time you would want to avoid.

This should be done overnight. 2AM to Whenever.

I think nobody else can agree with you. Not realistically, anyway. Given where Japan, North America, and Europe are on the planet with respect to each other, whatever time they pick is going to annoy someone somewhere. Since SE's core development center is in Japan it stands to reason that the most likely time for a rollout of updates and activation of new capacity will be during low-traffic times there. I would rather have seen a staged rollout (Japanese servers first during their off time, then NA/EU during theirs) but it's quicker and easier for all involved to just shut off the two lobby server farms and shut everyone out and then just get to work on both sides of the pond simultaneously.

Yea so us EU players won't be able to play? if they did for for 2AM in US then it will be for us from 10AM to 8PM (10h maintenance)?

I'm glad they chose time like that!

No matter what time they decide to do the maintenance, it will always affect someone. That's just the way it is.

You are right , a game who is being made and handled in Japan with employees that live in Japan should totally change all their schedules for the NA players. Screw the Japanese players and screw the employees well-being and life outside their work, they need to work from 2PM to 2AM just to please the only country that matter , MERICA !!!

Maybe I am misunderstanding something here... Do the Japanese not have their own servers? In my opinion the Japanese should not be considered when it comes to timing issues. However, I do believe the Europeans would need to be considered if they are using North American servers (which by the way, is a poor decision on behalf of Square).

This is about having the people to do that patching. I would rather them patch and fix the game, the time of the maintenance doesn't matter.

What does it matter when the maintenance is? Its not like most of us can even log in and play anyway. The sooner the maintenance the better I say...

No no... Obviously the maintenance should be done so that servers are not down at all!

Some people (not you)... Crying for fixes to the issues, but not willing to give up their own prime game time to get any kind of fixes implemented.
