Edit - Enable Crossbar Customization options

Hey,

Does anyone has an idea what the options in the red square at the top of the screen do? and if they're related to the "edit" option in the other red square at the bottom of the screenshot? If both are related, it's not working as intended.

If they are not, can somebody, please, tell me how to disable this "edit" function/pop-up that shows up when you activate the crossbar? I looked around but I couldn't find anything about it. thanks in advance
