Level 50 CNJ before WHM?

Would it be better, in the long run, to level a conjurer to 50 first before going white mage? My thinking is that the more skills would be available as a white mage, and healing would be more potent, as opposed to jumping to a white mage right away once hitting lvl 30 as a conjurer.

You know you can switch freely between the two right? And when you hit level 35 Regen (WHM only) is so good that you're gimping yourself by NOT getting it.

This. Once you unlock WHM, you are still CNJ until you equip the Soul Crystal you get from the quest. And switching back to CNJ from WHM is as easy as removing the Crystal again. You can do this whenever you like, without affecting leveling. By the way, the Conjurer's Guild no longer gives you the skill quests after level 30; you get them from the White Mage quest giver.

Here is how it works. You can get CNJ all the way to 50. And if you want to wait to get WHM until 50, then once you get WHM, you're instantly lv 50 as WHM and CNJ. On the opposite end, you can level WHM the second you get it ignoring CNJ forever. Maybe you hit lv 50 and decide to play around and level CNJ. Oh wait? What's this? It's level 50?

The simple answer is that the levels are shared. It maxes no difference in terms of the stats as to what level you decide to become a WHM. You stats are your stats.

Are there any Conjurer abilities that cannot be used as White Mage? I thought the only thing that changes when equipping the WHM crystal is that I gain the WHM abilties, without losing anything from CNJ.

You don't lose any conjurer abilities as WHM, but you lose access to some other classes abilities. You'll only be able to use CNJ, THM, and ACN abilities
