So I'm trying to create the relic weapon for WHM through the quests and I am a bit curious about the Madman's Whispering Rod with the materia melds. The quest is very unclear about what to meld and how much to meld. I know in 1.0, there were very specific things to meld, but is that still true? Can anyone show me something about this? I don't want to waste a large amount of money trying to meld expensive materia if it is no longer necessary.
